Mark Hartley

Director and Australian Qualified Optical Dispenser and Optical Technician

Mark has over 35 years of experience in the fields of finance, as well as optometry and medical practice management.

Mark is a qualified Optical Dispenser and Optical Technician

He has experience in private and corporate optical practices around Australia.

Mark and Leo have collaborated to bring a unique experience never seen before.

Dr Tracy Hills

B.App.Sc.(Optom)Hons. Grad. Cert. Ocular Therapeutics Grad. Cert. B.A.

Tracy graduated in 1995 from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Optometry) with First Class Honours and a University Medal.  She has subsequently completed her Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics in 2011. And recently completed another course at the University Of New South Wales specialising in Dry Eye Disease and Management.

Tracy has practiced across the Sunshine Coast since graduating, looking after patients of all ages.  She has special interests in children’s vision, myopia management, vision training and visual perception.

Services that we currently offer include:

  • Therapeutic Management of Eye Diseases

A/Professor Leo Hartley – Retired

Leo Hartley, enjoyed a fulfilling career as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Melbourne, where he taught final year optometry students about the integration of optometry and general medicine in patient care. His passion for research led him to collaborate with Associate Professor Yoga Kandasamy at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Townsville Hospital, focusing on the prevention of blindness in premature infants.

One of his previous projects involved collaborating with Don Macraild OAM and Associate Professor Daryl Guest from the University of Melbourne to establish a sustainable education program for local Vanuatu Eye Worker Clinical Associates.

h2 Vision Centres continues A/Professor Hartley’s humanitarian efforts and supports his established eye-care learning program in Vanuatu, with the assistance of Associate Professor Daryl Guest, from the University of Melbourne and Don Macraild OAM for the eye workers at eye clinics established on three islands of Vanuatu.

This program is specifically aimed at providing a sustainable long-term eye care program for eye workers in Vanuatu. A cause our clinic continues care for.

A/Professor Hartley visited Vanuatu as part of a humanitarian medical, eye and dental team for many years.
