Mark has over 35 years of experience in the fields of finance, as well as optometry and medical practice management.

Mark is a qualified Optical Dispenser and Optical Technician

He has experience in private and corporate optical practices around Australia.

Mark and Leo have collaborated to bring a unique experience never seen before.

A/Professor Leo Hartley – Retired

MBBS, DIPAPPSCOPTOM, FACO, FACBO, GradCertOcTher, GradCertHlthProfEdn

Leo holds the position of Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Melbourne where he teaches final year optometry students about how optometry and general medicine can work together to care for patients’ eyes and general health.

He conducts research in prevention of blindness in premature infants with Associate Professor Yoga Kandasamy at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Townsville Hospital.

Leo works part time doing locum General Practice work as well as working in optometry. This helps him stay abreast of current diagnosis and management in both fields.

He is currently working with Don Macraild OAM and Associate Professor Daryl Guest from the University of Melbourne to establish a sustainable education program for local Vanuatu Eye Worker Clinical Associates in Vanuatu. He also visits regularly to provide free medical care in remote communities as part of a multidisciplinary health team.

h2 Vision Centres continues A/Professor Hartley’s humanitarian efforts and supports his established eye-care learning program in Vanuatu, with the assistance of Associate Professor Daryl Guest, from the University of Melbourne and Don Macraild OAM for the eye workers at eye clinics established on three islands of Vanuatu.
